Proposal: D6. UAS modernization to include proportional fielding of all DA requirements at echelon.
Recommendation: To ensure the relevance of the Army National Guard Divisions as an Multi Domain Operations (MDO) capable operational or strategic force, they must be resourced commensurate to the organizations, platforms, and equipment that supports the same requirement in COMPO 1. This includes fielding the associated current new configuration of force structure (formations) and material solutions (equipment) aimed to enable MDO capable Divisions in accordance with National Defense Strategy.
Adding Gray Eagle 25M or equivalent companies in the Army National Guard that replicate the structure of the Active Component Divisions will help improve readiness, deployablity, targeting for Division Artillery Brigades, targeting for precision long range fires, enable digital communications across the Division, the ability to launch Air Launched Effects, reduce mission failures while deployed, and help meet the Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) wartime demand in MDO. The Army National Guard States maintain several locations suitable to station MQ-1C Gray Eagle 25M or equivalent companies. These locations can facilitate the necessary airspace, training, manning, and logistical support required to keep these units in a high degree of readiness.
NOTE: This change action has the concurrence of the original resolution sponsor (CA).
