Date Submitted: May 24, 2019
State: Wisconsin
Type Draft Resolution: Add Item
Additional Sponsors: WV
Submitter: Matt Strub
Proposal: To ensure readiness and relevance of the Army National Guard Combat Aviation Brigades the latest version of the tactical unmanned aerial system (TUAS) and Gray Eagle organizations, platforms, and equipment, including associated current configuration training devices be fielded within the ARNG Combat Aviation Brigade structure in a concurrent and proportional manner with Regular Army Combat Aviation Brigades. (Structure, Fielding, Modernization, and Sustainment concurrent with Regular Army units).
Recommendation: In order for ARNG Combat Aviation Brigades to be relevant as an operational or strategic force, they must have the latest version of TUAS and Gray Eagle organizations, platforms, and equipment, including associated current configuration training devices be fielded within the ARNG Combat Aviation Brigade structure in a concurrent and proportional manner with Regular Army Combat Aviation Brigades. (Structure, Fielding, Modernization, and Sustainment concurrent with Regular Army units). Not having the same capability as the Active Component will lead to failures and lack of readiness when called upon.
